About us

Welcome to House of Moo, my name is Molly! I decided to start House of Moo because of my love for sewing and especially handbags.

In 2020, my New Year’s resolution was to stop buying from fast fashion. That same year, I taught myself how to sew through watching YouTube videos, my mums friend’s sewing machine and some second hand fabric. I started to make different clothes and accessories with what I’d found at charity shops and online. I even challenged myself to make all my family’s Christmas presents within a month!

In 2022, I started a sewing apprenticeship, specialising in leather and upholstery. I completed this apprenticeship in 2024 and am now doing an engineering apprenticeship with the same company.

I started thinking about House of Moo 2 years ago when I was away for my boyfriend’s birthday. I thought about all my handbags in my wardrobe and how I could make something that was versatile so I didn’t need so many. That was when House of Moo was born!

  • Slow fashion

The bags are made with longevity and durability in mind! Meaning you can love these bags over and over again.

  • Ethically made

Everything is handmade by me in the South Downs. I design, sew and package all the orders so you can enjoy your bags forever!

  • Sustainability

I get all my fabric from UK businesses. I try to use deadstock materials where possible. All packaging is fully recyclable.
